Why choose Houston Weight Loss Center for peptide therapy

Peptides are widely marketed and unevenly delivered. What separates a medical program from a retail one is who reviews your case, what they look at before prescribing, and where the medication actually comes from.

  • A medical clinic, not a med spaYour care is directed by a physician and delivered by your physician or Nurse Practitioner, who reviews your history and your lab work before anything is prescribed.

  • Nearly thirty years in practiceWe have served patients across the Houston area since 1996. Peptide therapy is one part of a broader medical practice, not the whole business model.

  • A Webster office, not a mailboxYour first visit is in person at our clinic on State Highway 3, a few minutes off Interstate 45. After you are established, follow-ups can be handled virtually.

  • No membership and no contractThere is no monthly program fee and no prepaid package. You are not locked into anything, and there is nothing to cancel.

  • You pay the pharmacy directlyWe do not resell your medication or build a margin into it. You pay the pharmacy their price, which is the single biggest reason our patients pay less overall.

  • A pharmacy we vetted ourselvesPrescriptions are prepared by a Texas-based, state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy that we reviewed and selected.

What is peptide therapy?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks that make up the proteins your body already produces. Your body uses them as signals, telling different systems when to release something, repair something, or slow something down. Peptide therapy uses specific prescription peptides to support a signal that has weakened over time.

This is not hormone replacement. Rather than adding a substance from outside to replace what your body has stopped making, most peptides work by prompting your own systems to respond through the pathway they already use.

Patients most often ask about peptides in connection with sleep quality, recovery, energy, and body composition. Effects tend to develop gradually over weeks to months rather than immediately.

Peptide therapy is not appropriate for everyone, responses vary from patient to patient, and no outcome can be guaranteed. Which peptide is suitable for you, or whether any is, is a clinical decision made after your evaluation.

What peptide therapy costs at our Webster clinic

Your cost has two separate parts, and we keep them separate on purpose.

You pay us for care. Your initial visit is $199, and that includes your consultation with your physician or Nurse Practitioner plus your lab work: a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel, Thyroid Panel, and A1C. Follow-up visits are $150 and are usually scheduled every 12 weeks, or as recommended by your provider, so your provider can review how you are responding and adjust your plan.

You pay the pharmacy for your medication. Directly, at the pharmacy’s price. We do not mark it up, resell it, or bundle it into a package. What that costs depends on which peptide your provider recommends and the length of your protocol, and you will be given specific numbers during your welcome call, before you commit to anything. Pharmacy pricing is current pricing and is subject to change.

That structure is why our patients generally pay less than they would at a clinic selling peptides on a membership. When the medication is folded into a monthly fee, the markup becomes invisible. You cannot see what you are paying for the drug versus what you are paying for the care, and the fee continues whether or not you are still being seen. Keeping the two apart makes the whole thing legible, and it means you are never paying us for something the pharmacy provides.

Is peptide therapy right for you?

Commonly considered by adults who

  • Feel their sleep quality or recovery has declined
  • Are working on body composition alongside diet and exercise
  • Have noticed changes in energy they cannot explain
  • Prefer a monitored medical program over buying online

Generally not appropriate for

  • Anyone under 18
  • Women who are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive
  • Patients with an active or recent cancer diagnosis
  • Anyone whose history or lab work indicates a safer alternative

These are general guidelines, not a substitute for evaluation. Eligibility is determined by your physician or Nurse Practitioner after reviewing your health history and current lab work, which is exactly what the questionnaire and your welcome call are for.

No. There is no membership, no contract, and no prepaid package. You pay for your visits and your lab work, and you pay the pharmacy directly for your medication.

How are peptides administered?

Many are given as small subcutaneous injections, though some are available in other forms depending on the peptide. Your provider will explain exactly how your therapy is administered.
